The HYP Family

Hi!

We are HYP - Handling Your Problems - a team that loves designing and developing websites, mobiles apps and creating graphic design projects and illustrations. Our office is located in Portugal, a small country of great deeds. We are incubated at IPN, in Coimbra, known as the city of knowledge.

Our team is our most important asset and we make sure to keep it united and coherent! All HYPsters are in-house and are specialized either in Design, Software Engineering or User Experience. But we're not all work and no play! We have a lot of fun together!

HYPsters love food! Besides our office often being stocked with desserts and candy, we also have our "peddy-petiscos" tradition which consists of going out to lunch together to a new restaurant every Friday and evaluating them. We also love superheroes, TV shows, nerfs and games! We have a weekly meeting about our current projects where we discuss ideas and solutions, and team-building activities every two weeks!

Recently we adopted our own currency within the office: the hyp coins! We gain hyp coins by performing great achievements or by winning at certain games and we can use them mostly to buy favors amongst ourselves. We also make bets with our hyp coins! For example, before the Game of Thrones season finale we all bet on which character we believed would be axed!

Every Friday we play the "Unlucky Friday" game. We built a collaborative list of albums with all music genres possible and every Friday an album is randomly given to each one of us to hear. You have to hear it to gain hyp coins, and if you don't, you have to pay a fine! We have created a website to make the game easier to play, it will be available to the public soon!
