CSI is a community born in Coimbra, Portugal. It offers visitors a place to stay in the city whilst traveling or studying. HYP was responsible for the design and development of CSI’s brand and website. The branding was based on the concept of travel and direction, a compass having been chosen as the representation of these values. As such, the main brand is represented by a compass, while each separate element of the CSI family is represented by a weather vane.
HYP developed the entire identity for the brand and designed stationery such as envelopes, letter paper, business cards, signage, posters and flyers. The website was built from scratch by HYP. A modern, friendly and fully responsive to mobile devices design was chosen, in order to meet the company’s target audience, namely young travelers or international students.
Due to the nature of the business, the website was required to have a backoffice for the company to manage guesthouse reservations. Thus, HYP projected a website that allows the client to book a room and CSI either to accept or decline their booking. The owner is also able to control all of the reservations on a calendar and the state of each room, in terms of reservations, payments and cleaning.
